Tied the knot

My sis tied the knot this weekend and we had a great time. It was a wonderful time with all our family and the new family as well. Here is just one pic from the reception with my new niece and nephew. They are absolutely precious and are SO excited to welcome "Miss Sarah" to their family. I will post pictures later when I get them from various family members...this one I hijacked from facebook.

In a New York minute

Eugene had to go to Philadelphia last week for work so we met this past weekend in NYC for a very quick trip. We got to visit with our friends Nate and Glo and had the best time. The weather couldn't have been better! I'll post some pics soon...I'll have to get them from Glo...had to much fun to take any!

I'll post more pictures later but first...we "met" Matt Damon!!!! We were driving back to our hotel the last day and driving down sunset we saw what looked like a film crew. We parked at our new favorite bakery and walked down to check it out. I stopped and asked the security guard what they were filming and he told me Entourage. I thought that was so cool (for some reason...mainly I think because I was expecting that it was going to be an AT&T commercial or something...) so I proceed to say "Hey Eugene Hey Eugene they're filming Entourage..." and he wouldn't respond. All he kept saying was "There's Matt Damon, hey it's Matt Damon..." obviously this was not registering to me until he was two feet from my face and Eugene yelled "It's Matt Damon!!!" and I made eye contact with him and said "Shut up!" Yes right in his face. Then he smirked and said "How's it going" I began to fumble with my camera and the director said "hey you two you're in our shot...you need to keep moving" So I looked at an extra and said "This is NOT how I want to make my television debut"...they didn't seem amused...hmmm obviously no sense of humor. We stayed for about an hour and watched them film the same scene over and over. Matt was so nice to everyone on the set and just seemed so normal. He went up a few notches in both our books. We also talked to Kevin Dillon (Matt Dillon's bro and star of Entourage). He actually engaged us and couldn't have been nicer himself. I have a pic of him that I will post with the rest of the pictures but for now here's Matt...

This is where you can find us for the next four days...we may never come home...if that's the case I will send a forwarding address. As of 12:01 today, in our family there will be no talk of work, diets, training or anything of the like. It's vacay time! Forcast: 75 and sunny...better known as HEAVEN

Somewhat catching up...

Well I figured that I would do just one big post to catch up on the last month or so...I've been a slacker for sure and doubt if anyone is still even reading this!! In the middle of May I did my first triathlon and loved every second of it. I have for sure gotten bit by the triathlon bug...I'm eating my words for sure! The next day we packed up and went to Memphis for Eugene to do one of his favorite races...Memphis in May. He had a great day and improved on his time by several minutes. The end of May we went to Macon and Eugene did a half ironman. This was another fun race!! Unfortunately he got a flat tire before he was really even out of transition but he pumped it up a few times during the bike, made the best of the situtation and still had a great time! We spent that night and the next day in Atlanta and very much enjoyed just being out of town. The next weekend I did another triathlon that was quite a big step up from the last one. The goal was to finish and not be last and I did both of those things. Had a great great time and am looking forward to doing another one soon! Lastly, this weekend we went to Sardis for a short triathlon for Eugene. He won third place overall and we had a blast!! My sister had an engagment party the next night in Memphis so we were able to enjoy some time with my family as well. It's been a busy few months and will be the next couple. We head to L.A. at the end of the month for a vacation that we are so excited about. Then a couple races in July for each of us. We've had a good summer so far and have been blessed with the ability to do some very fun things. Here are just a few pictures and my promises to be a bit more of a faithful blogger.

Last night we had the opportunity to pick up Alabama's football coach, Nick Saban, and his entourage at the airport. We had a police escort and all. He was very personable and very nice. We didn't get any pictures with him because we were trying our best to be "cool" so he wouldn't think we were the typical fans :) Here is the one picture we have...it's boring but it's all we got.
